Starting My Research

There isn't a whole lot that I know about the transitioning out process of foster care, so I took this time to do a lot of research on the topic. I decided to go on the internet and just simply Google the transitioning out process, just so I have some kind of background information. I want to be as prepared as I can be before I decide to go interview another person related to Kids Matter. Through my research I found out that there are so many negative statistics that go along with the kids that have transitioned out. Some examples are that these kids have a higher rate of depression and they have a higher rate of post traumatic stress disorder than war veterens. All of these really bothered me so I'm anxious to find out what can be done to help the kids.
